Paying by bank transfer (without a payment provider)

Not every host can — or wants to — connect an online payment provider; as a private host with a foreign bank account, for example, Stripe or Mollie often won't work. That's what Bank transfer is for: the payment page then automatically shows your guests clean bank-transfer instructions instead of a dead-end message.
You'll find the option under Connections → Payments → Bank transfer.
How does it work?
- Enable Show bank transfer on the payment page and fill in your IBAN (BIC and beneficiary are optional — without a beneficiary we show the property name).
- From then on, every guest who clicks a payment link — from the confirmation email, a payment request or the guest portal — sees a clear bank-transfer block: beneficiary, IBAN (with a copy button), the amount and the booking reference the guest should include.
- The guest makes the transfer; you see the payment arrive in your account with the reference and record it on the booking. The booking confirmation follows as usual.
The instructions appear in the guest's language (Dutch, English, French, German) and work with the deposit choice: if the guest picks a 30% deposit, the block automatically shows that amount.
When does the block appear?
Bank transfer is deliberately a safety net, not a replacement: the block only appears when no online payment method at all is active for your property. If you later connect Stripe, Mollie or Bancontact, those automatically win — online payment simply converts better.
Frequently asked questions
Is the payment processed automatically? No — a bank transfer has no webhook. You record the received payment on the booking yourself (or via your accounting integration). The reference on the transfer block makes matching easy.
