Connecting Check24

Connecting Check24 to BedFlow

Settings → Integrations → Channels → Check24

Check24 is a German comparison and booking platform and by far the largest hotel search engine in Germany. If you want to tap into the German market, it's well worth it.

Prerequisite: you already have a Check24 Hotel Manager account. Not yet? Apply via hotel.check24.de. Check24 first carries out its own onboarding (a few business days) — only after that can you continue here. In BedFlow you have at least one room with a base price.

What do you need?

Item Where to find it
Check24 Hotel ID In the welcome email after your onboarding, or in your Check24 Hotel Manager (at the top, next to the name of your hotel). A number of about 8 digits.
Access to Check24 Hotel Manager Email and password, for the mapping and to correct photos or information afterwards

The flow at a glance

  1. Enter your Hotel ID in BedFlow.
  2. Click Connect in Channex — the Channel connection window opens.
  3. Go through the form's three tabs: General Settings, Mapping, Channel Settings.
  4. Finish with Done — close and refresh status.
  5. BedFlow looks up the connection and switches it on.
  6. Check24 approves it on their side, usually within a day. The status becomes Active.

The Mapping tab is the step where most hosts get stuck. Below you can read what you need to do there.

Step 1 — Enter your Hotel ID in BedFlow

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Settings on the Check24 tile.
  2. Paste your Hotel ID into the Check24 Hotel ID field (section Channel connection).
  3. Click Save.

The Onboarding status now shows "Ready to connect — click "Connect in Channex" below". Do that.

Is this your first channel? Then BedFlow puts your accommodation on the channel manager itself at that moment, with your room types and prices, and switches on Check24 and all your active rooms.

Step 2 — General Settings

The window contains the connection form of the channel manager Channex:

  1. Channel → choose "Check24" from the list.
  2. Title → "Check24" (you can leave it as it is).
  3. Currency → usually EUR.
  4. Click Save at the bottom.

The channel now exists, but isn't active yet. That's normal — the mapping comes first.

Step 3 — Mapping: linking your rooms

This is the most important step. Without a mapping, Check24 can't attach your prices to their room categories.

Click the Mapping tab at the top. On the left you see Check24's room categories, with abbreviations such as:

  • COMZIM — Comfort-Zimmer (comfort room)
  • DELZIM — Deluxe-Zimmer (deluxe room)
  • DOPBAR — Doppelzimmer barrierefrei (wheelchair-accessible double room)
  • DD2E1K — Deluxe Doppelzimmer, 2 adults + 1 child
  • …

Under each category are one or more rate plans (e.g. REWIBR = "Refundable with Breakfast").

On the right, choose for each Check24 rate plan which BedFlow rate plan belongs to it: click "Not mapped" and choose from the list.

Not every Check24 category needs to be linked. No wheelchair-accessible room? Then leave the "barrierefrei" variants empty. Only link what you actually offer.

Then click Save at the bottom of the tab.

Step 4 — Channel Settings and Readiness Check

The Channel Settings tab usually has no required fields — check and save.

The Readiness Check tab shows what is still preventing activation. Work through it until everything is green.

Step 5 — Back in BedFlow

At the bottom of the window, click Done — close and refresh status. BedFlow looks up the new connection and switches it on. The Onboarding status becomes Waiting for confirmation via the OTA extranet.

Do you get Channel discovered — mapping not yet complete? Click Connect in Channex again, complete the Mapping tab and click Done — close and refresh status again.

Step 6 — Check24 approves

Check24 checks on their side, usually within a day. You don't need to do anything. After that, the status shows Active — your channel is live and BedFlow sends prices, availability and restrictions as soon as they change.

Adding or relinking a room later? Use the Map rooms button in the Check24 window.

Frequently asked questions

I see rooms in the Check24 extranet that I don't recognise (COZIBA, COMZIM1, …), with photos that aren't right

Those are Check24's own room templates. Their system creates them based on what was in your onboarding form — or a previous manager uploaded photos to them.

We can't delete them — those categories live at Check24. You have two options:

  1. Adjust them yourself in the Check24 extranet → extranet.hotel.check24.de → "Created rooms" → "edit" per room, or "delete" for categories you don't offer.
  2. Email Check24 support (hotel-support@check24.de) for a clean onboarding, so that the templates match what you do have.

We have 4 rooms, why do I see 6 in the Mapping tab?

By default, Check24 creates 6 categories — their template, not what you have. Only link the categories that match your rooms and leave the rest on "Not mapped". Check24 then won't book anything on unused categories either.

What is the default commission?

About 10% (divisor 0.90). You adjust it in the tile's Commission section.

How does Check24 differ from Booking.com for the German market?

Check24 is a comparison site with a loyal customer base in Germany; bookers compare there and usually book straight away via Check24. Booking.com dominates the rest of Europe; Check24 is the specialist for the DACH region.

My accommodation isn't in Germany. Is this worthwhile?

Only to a limited extent. Check24 also shows Austria, Switzerland and some border areas. If you're not in the DACH region and don't target German guests, you're better off skipping it.

What does BedFlow send to Check24?

Per rate plan: the price, the availability (free nights) and the restrictions (minimum and maximum stay, closed days). Your rooms are linked to Check24's room categories via the Mapping tab.

What's the difference between my BedFlow rate plan and Check24's rate plans (REWIBR, RWB1)?

At Check24, each room category has its own rate plans (with breakfast, non-refundable, …). In BedFlow you have one rate plan per room per channel. The channel manager uses one BedFlow rate plan to fill several rate plans of the same room at Check24.

"Mapping not yet complete" keeps coming back, even after saving

Possible causes:

  • A Check24 rate plan you use is still on "Not mapped" → fill in all the rate plans you use.
  • The Readiness Check tab still shows a blocker → resolve that first.

If it really doesn't work: email support@bedflow.eu with the name of your accommodation and a screenshot of the Mapping tab.
