Telegram notifications per property

Updated on 2026-08-10

BedFlow can notify you via Telegram as soon as something happens with your property: a new booking, a received payment, or a guest requesting a deviating check-in time who needs your approval.

Notifications only go to your own property's channel

Since 10 August 2026, notifications about your property go exclusively to the Telegram channel that belongs to that property. If your property has no channel of its own, nothing is sent — property notifications never fall back to a shared or general channel. That way your guest data never ends up anywhere but with you.

ℹ️ No Telegram set up? Then you don't miss any decisions. Requests that need your approval (such as a deviating check-in time) simply stay in the admin, on the booking. Telegram is an extra for speed, not a requirement.

How to set it up

The fastest route: mail support@bedflow.eu — we set up your channel in a few minutes and send a test message.

Doing it yourself is possible too:

  1. Create your own bot in Telegram via @BotFather (/newbot) and note the bot token.
  2. Create a group (e.g. "Notifications — my B&B"), add your bot and post a message in the group.
  3. Get the chat ID: open https://api.telegram.org/bot<TOKEN>/getUpdates in your browser and find the chat.id of your group (usually starts with -100).
  4. In BedFlow: Settings → Integrations → Communication → Telegram → Settings. Fill in the chat ID and the bot token of your own bot. Save — done.

Which notifications do you get?

  • 🛎️ New booking — with guest, dates and amount
  • 💳 Payment received — as soon as an online payment comes in
  • 🕐 Deviating check-in time request — with buttons to approve or reject right away
  • And other property events (cancellations, check-in requests, …)

Frequently asked questions

I used to get notifications, now I don't. How come? They probably arrived via a shared channel — that's no longer possible since 10 August 2026, to shield your guest data. Set up your own channel (see above) or mail support and it runs again.

Can I share notifications with several people? Yes — the chat ID may be a group. Everyone in the group then sees the same notifications.

I have several properties. Each property gets its own channel (or the same group, if you want — then fill in the same chat ID for each property).
